The Adventures of Lurkey the Turkey

Commissioned by Jyl Dittbenner through the CEAG (Community Event and Activation Grant), this heart sculpture was created as part of a city-wide public art initiative in Manchester, New Hampshire.
 

The idea for this design came from my first visit to the city; the wild turkeys strutting freely around the neighbourhood, as well as the strong comic book culture.  It felt obvious to bring those two things together, and I knew I could have some fun with it, so I created 'The Adventures of Lurkey the Turkey', a comic about a turkey lurking around the city, causing trouble at local landmarks.
